November 25, 2016 Bauman University host a scientific seminar on the theory of knots.

It will take place in Conference Hall (Moscow, Rubtsovskaya nab., 2/18).

 

16:10 - 17:40 Professor of RAS Vasily O. Manturov will read a lecture on "Modern trends in the theory of knots."

18:00 - 19:30 Professor Louis Hirsch Kauffman (University of Illinois at Chicago) will give a Skype talk entitled «Introduction to Knots, Knotoids and Detecting the UnKnot».

Bauman Moscow State Technical University host the International conference GRAVITATION, COSMOLOGY AND CONTINUUM MECHANICS, dedicated to the centenary of Kirill Petrovich Staniukovich on March 3-4, 2016. Kirill Petrovich Stanyukovich made a significant contribution to the development of various fields of science: gas dynamics, physics of explosion, magnetic hydrodynamics, astronomy. 

  June 29 – July 2, 2015, the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Fundamental Sciences hosted the International Scientific Conference “Physical Interpretations of the Relativity Theory - 2015”. The conference agenda includes over 80 reports given by representatives of the leading scientific schools from 10 countries, such as the United States of America, the United Kingdom of Great Britain, the Netherlands, Romania, Italy, Pakistan, France, China, and Russia. The conference was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Faculty of Fundamental Sciences and Educational Complex at BMSTU and the 110th anniversary of the first foundational works by Albert Einstein.   November 17-19, 2014, the International Scientific Conference “Physical and Mathematical Issues in Advanced Technology Development (PhysMathTech - 2014)” was held marking the 50th anniversary of the Fundamental Sciences Research and Educational Complex at BMSTU.

 

 April 2 and 4, 2013 Bauman University hosted lectures by the famous English scientist, professor from Oxford University Roger Penrose

 

 

 In 2008, the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Fundamental Sciences hosted a Russian-Italian meeting devoted to the creation of a new-generation gravitational wave detector. The meeting was attended by 13 research fellows of the Italian National Nuclear Physics Institute (INFN).
